Rip It PokéShop was born from a spark of nostalgia, a whole lot of family excitement, and a lifelong love of Pokémon. What began as my husband sharing his passion with our kids quickly became a full-family adventure — and eventually, a business we’re proud to build together.

Pokémon has been part of my husband’s story since he was 13 years old, when he moved from South Africa to the United States and discovered the world of trading cards. We won’t say how many years later, when the Scarlet & Violet 151 set was released, that childhood magic came rushing back. Before we knew it, our entire family was ripping packs, collecting favorites, and bonding over the same characters that defined so many childhoods — including his.

As parents of five Pokémon-obsessed kids (each with their own favorite Pokémon, of course), we’ve always put family first. Rip It PokéShop is our way of creating something special that blends business, passion, and family memories.
